Our Work Started at the Top — And It Hasn’t Stopped

In 2020, Gary Keller, executive chairman and co-founder of Keller Williams, convened KW’s Social Equity Task Force to identify and eliminate racial disparity within our company, our industry, and the communities where we live and work. Each KW region nominated a social equity ambassador, while each KW Market Center appointed an Associate Leadership Council member as a Social Equity Committee chairperson. After months of honest examination and conversation, KW leadership committed to a companywide standard that demands we actively run inclusive, diverse, and equitable businesses. In September 2020, KW’s International Associate Leadership Council voted unanimously to amend the company’s belief system to include language that changes everything: Equity: opportunities for all. Today, that standard is upheld through education, community partnerships, leadership development, and wealth-building initiatives in Black and historically marginalized communities. The I&B Community is where that work continues every day.
